Back to School
February 26, 2009Part of my new job involves working with schools to teach kids about energy. Lately we have been trialing some new stuff, and I’ve been lucky enough to spend an entire day at schools, teaching kids. And you know what…I really love it. Back in my Uni days, I started a degree in Early Childhood Education and being around kids like this makes me wish that I had stuck with that degree.

Today I went to Cowandilla Primary School — it was the second time I’ve been there, and I think it’s a really special school. They get a lot of “new arrival” kids that have come to Australia recently, and the school is like a mini multicultural paradise! It’s so interesting to see children from so many different backgrounds mixing together and — and the cool part is, they don’t think anything of it. I wish everyone could grow up with this kind of experience, I think it would lead to a lot more understanding.
